Big Bad Wolf book fair

Today, I wanted to buy some semi formal clothes from One Utama, but there is a book fair called “Big Bad Wolf” at The Mines Convention Centre, so I went to The Mines instead. We depart from house at around 5.30pm. On the way, I talked to my mum about the benefits of having a smartphone (can use Whatsapp, Facebook, etc), and the importance of having internet plan. In the conversation, I promised my mum to buy her a Xiaomi Mi 3 phone for her and data plan as a birthday present.

My mum stopped me at the mines shopping centre and I walked to the convention centre. There are a lot of people, but not that many as will crowd the convention centre. I remembered being here with Karyee and Pastor Ong before. There are fiction, science fiction, literature, non-fiction, self help, agama books. I walked around and quickly I have like 5 books on my hands. I got a cardboard box at the side, and put all my books in the box like others did. I quickly browse the hall. I bought about 15 books at RM150!!! I have also one year free membership at BookXCess because I bought more than RM100. It’s very cheap, because the books are discounted at 75-95%. Alas, I went home without shopping for my formal clothes.

I am grateful for shopping alone and taking picture!

  1. Hi Shaun!

I landed on your blog because I was searching for reviews about the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale. I live in the Philippines and it will be our first time to experience this event. I noticed though, most of the selections are on children’s books to fiction, particularly the young adult reads. My intention is to score discounted coffee table books in the field of arts, photography, fashion, style and lifestyle in general. Having such intention, would you recommend the book fair for me? Do you think I will be able to score some rare yet discounted coffee table books?

Thank you in advance and wishing you a great week ahead!
