Today, early in the morning, at 7.15am, my dad fetched me to Sunway Pyramid to attend second day of Big Data Week KL 2015. I reached there, and the mall is not yet open, all the shops are closed and the air condition is off. I went to CP3, which is the convention center. I saw a lot of booths, with names of universities, there are few people guarding the booths, I assume they are the organizers.
I walked around Sunway Pyramid while waiting. At 8a.m., I went to the convention center again, a guy asked me if I am a staff or walk in, I said I am walk in, he guide me to the registration place. I registered myself as UTAR students, and obtained my tag. I saw other tags with name of universities on it. It seems that many university students are joining this talk.
There are refreshments served before the event happened. At 9.10a.m., I went into the hall and wait for the event to start. The event starts with a talk by Global Lead of Accenture about Unlocking Value in Unexpected Places with Big Data. Then, there is a panel session on Why the Future of Business is Data Driven. There is Chief Data Scientist from Harvard Innovation Lab, MD of Fusionex, Head of Data Science at Lazada Groups, etc. Then, there is a tea break. After the tea break, there are meet & greet session with 3 global data scientists. Then, there is a debate on Moral Dilemma of Open Data.
There are more events after the lunch, but I could not attend it because I was tired, I didn’t sleep the whole night, so I went back. Xin Lin also came to the event but I didn’t meet her.
