Qing Ming (清明) at Ayer Tawar

Satuday afternoon, at around 12pm, my parents, brother and I travel using car to Ayer Tawar. My parent’s car’s tire puncture, my dad tried to change the tire, but was unsuccessful, so we find a shop and fixed it, and paid only RM10. We ate Dunkin Donuts at the Tapah stop station.

We reached Ayer Tawar at around 5pm. We checked in the Ayer Tawar Sim hotel. The hotel is decent, with clean toilet. We bought flowers for Qing Ming in the shop in front of the hotel. Qing Ming is a remembrance day in Chinese Culture to remember our ancestors. At night, we went to eat seafood. Then, we slept.

At Sunday’s morning, around 6am, we went out to cemetery to start our Qing Ming. We first went to my grand-grandparents’s tomb. We as Christians, put flower instead of incense stick. Then, we went to my grandparent’s tomb. We put flowers on the tomb and stay there for a while. After that, we went to eat the famous Kam Puan Mian (noodles). Later, we went back to Kuala Lumpur.
