How to point your custom apex domain to your github.io website?

A fellow reader of this blog asked me for guidance as to how to point his website example.com to example.github.io. This is a simple request. You just need to follow the instructions at the Github website. Since this is an apex domain (e.g. example.com) custom domain and not subdomain, we need to use A record.

Point A records to 192.30.252.153 and 192.30.252.154 from your DNS editor. Then, add CNAME to your jekyll blog at example.github.io and put example.com as content. This will make your example.com contents display example.github.io. Alternatively, you can visit this website for guidance. I received RM50 donation as reward for my help.
